Platypus

The platypus is a unique, egg-laying mammal native to eastern Australia, including Tasmania. It is known for its duck-bill, webbed feet, and beaver-like tail. The platypus is one of the only mammals that produce venom, and it spends much of its time in freshwater rivers and lakes, hunting for insects, larvae, and small aquatic animals.
