Thylacine

The Thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian tiger, was a carnivorous marsupial native to Australia and Tasmania. Recognizable by its striped lower back and dog-like appearance, the Thylacine is now extinct, with the last known individual dying in the 20th century. It was a unique predator and an iconic symbol of lost biodiversity.
