Spectacled Bear

The spectacled bear, also known as the Andean bear, is the only bear species native to South America. Recognized by the distinctive light markings around its eyes, this shy, mostly herbivorous mammal inhabits the Andean cloud forests and is considered vulnerable due to habitat loss.
