Pangolin

The pangolin is a unique, nocturnal mammal known for its protective keratin scales covering its body. Native to Asia and Africa, pangolins are insectivores, feeding primarily on ants and termites. They are solitary and shy, rolling into a tight ball when threatened. Pangolins are critically endangered due to illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss.
