Cuscuta

Cuscuta, commonly known as dodder, is a genus of parasitic plants that lack chlorophyll and attach themselves to host plants to extract nutrients. Recognizable by their thin, twining, yellow or orange stems, Cuscuta species are found in a variety of habitats and can impact agricultural crops and natural ecosystems.
