Saola

The Saola, often called the 'Asian Unicorn,' is a critically endangered mammal native to the Annamite Range of Vietnam and Laos. Discovered only in 1992, it is one of the world's rarest large mammals. The Saola is recognized by its long, straight horns and distinctive facial markings. Its elusive nature and remote habitat make it extremely difficult to study in the wild.
