Rosetta Stone

The Rosetta Stone is an ancient Egyptian granodiorite stele inscribed with the same text in three scripts: Greek, Demotic, and Hieroglyphic. Discovered in 1799, it was key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs and unlocking the language and culture of ancient Egypt.
