Pygmy Hippopotamus

The pygmy hippopotamus is a small, semi-aquatic mammal native to the forests and swamps of West Africa. Unlike its larger relative, the common hippopotamus, it is more reclusive and primarily nocturnal, spending much of its time in water to keep cool. The species is currently endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
