Jerusalem cricket

The Jerusalem cricket is a large, flightless insect native to western North America. Known for its distinctive human-like head and strong jaws, it lives mostly underground and feeds on roots and decaying organic matter. Despite its name, it is not a true cricket nor is it from Jerusalem.
