Cathode Ray Tube

A cathode ray tube (CRT) is a vacuum tube used to display images in older televisions and computer monitors by firing electron beams onto a phosphorescent screen. Once a dominant technology in visual media, CRTs have largely been replaced by modern flat-panel displays.
